Awards 2010

The standard of art and craft work was very high and gave the judges, art and craft artists June McEwan from Crieff and Bobbi Vetter from Tillicoultry, very hard choices to make.  They pondered over many pieces of work until they made their minds up. f

The judging is independent of the trustees and the judges only see the work in front of them. They do not see any names on the actual art or craft work from the schools.

We are very proud to have Dunblane, Newton, St Mary's and Bridge of Allan Primary schools in the award scheme this year and meeting the new head teachers was a really good experience indeed.  They were all very keen on the award scheme and hopefully we can keep the relationship going forward.

Children who have won Young Artist or Young Craft Person awards will receive a salver or trophy to keep for one year with their name engraved on it.

Children form Clackmannanshire, Bridge of Allan and Dunblane Primary schools will receive their awards at a Variety Concert being held in Devonvale Hall, Tillicoultry on Saturday, October 23rd from 7 pm to 10 pm. Stars of the show are

"Southern Moonlight", a Country and Western duo from Glen Isla near Blairgowrie. More details of the show will be available in the newspaper soon.

West Perthshire, Dunblane St Mary's and Dunblane Newton Primary School children will receive their awards at our Hallowe'en Party on Saturday, October 30th in Braco Village Hall which will be held from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. Children wishing to attend the party can obtain tickets from Barbara Gleeson, our West Perthshire Director, on 01764 682836.
